Vicars of Christ Church Compline Choir

Our Ministry

Founded in 2013, the Vicars of Christ Church offer a sung Compline service each Friday evening at 8:30pm.

Services are held at Christ Episcopal Church in Seattle’s University District, 47th and Brooklyn.

Our Music

Our service is a quiet and contemplative mix of traditional Gregorian chant plus three-part men’s harmony, sung entirely a cappella.

We have collected our service texts and music into a book, which you can obtain either by downloading a PDF or purchasing a nice hardbound copy (at cost).

Our Director

The Vicars are directed by founder Alan Wheaton, an active professional tenor in the Seattle area.

In addition to his freelance work, Alan serves as a section leader at Christ Episcopal Church and a regular singer for the Dickens Carolers. He is also past member and cantor with the St. Mark’s Compline Choir.
